YUVA (Youth Union for Voluntary Action) aims to harness the boundless energy, innovation, and creativity of youth to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). By forming strategic alliances with stakeholders, YUVA is committed to unlocking the potential of young people for fostering an open and inclusive society. The organization strives to empower and strengthen youth to prevent them from falling prey to violence and terrorism, providing them with constructive pathways and opportunities for growth.

Mission
To drive the holistic development of communities by maximizing the potential of locally available human, natural, and institutional resources through active youth engagement. YUVA seeks to bridge the socio-economic gap between the privileged and the underprivileged, fostering harmony without discrimination.
Objectives
Data Collection & Dissemination:
- Establish a comprehensive database on youth demographics, resources, organizations, and opportunities.
- Develop effective strategies for widespread dissemination of information.
Collaboration:
- Strengthen partnerships among youth organizations, donors, government bodies, and other stakeholders for collective action.
Youth Empowerment:
- Enhance youth capacity for active citizenship through training and learning opportunities.
- Facilitate youth participation in social, political, and policy-making processes.
Social Inclusion:
- Promote livelihoods, education, healthcare, and skills development for socially excluded groups.
- Design and implement evaluation tools to assess the impact of youth engagement programs.
Gender Equality:
- Ensure young women are equally supported and included in programs.
- Address gender dynamics in program design and implementation.
Disability Support:
- Rehabilitate individuals with disabilities through community-based initiatives to combat social isolation.
Resource Optimization:
- Encourage the efficient utilization of human, natural, and institutional resources through strategic and tactical partnerships.
Team YUVA
YUVA is driven by a dynamic team equipped with extensive training and expertise:
Communication Strategies:
- Two members trained at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, specializing in communication strategies and matrix development.
Youth Development Experts:
- Two members serve on the District Advisory Resource Team (DART) of the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Youth Development, a research wing of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Life Skills Trainers:
- Two team members are state-level trainers for high school teachers, specializing in the UDAAN and Life Skills modules.
Health Advocacy:
- YUVA holds memberships in DAC (District Advisory Committee) and DIMC (District Inspection and Monitoring Committee) for the Department of Health, Hazaribag, under the PC & PNDT Cell.
Disaster Management:
- Represents the state-level disaster management cell, bringing expertise in emergency response and planning.
Skill Development:
- Personnel trained to deliver capacity-building programs in farm and non-farm sectors.
